Alzheimer's and Dementia
Loretto has several specialized programs designed for patients who suffer from Alzheimer's disease or related dementia. They provide supervision and assistance in a supportive, positive environment. J. Stanley Coyne Heritage Apartments Known by many as simply Heritage Apartments, this enriched living program provides caring supervision and services for older adults with early stage Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Along with all the amenities an enriched living program provides, residents also receive specialized programming to assist them in areas of communication, memory, and socialization. Participants also derive pleasure and maintain social contacts through therapeutic recreation and dining programs. SUN: Structured Unit for Neuroimpairment The Structured Unit for Neuroimpairment or SUN is a residential care unit of Cunningham Skilled Nursing. SUN has been developed to serve residents with an irreversible, progressive dementia illness in a group environment. The primary goal of SUN is to maximize independence through preventive and restorative services, medical treatment, and disease management. Structured therapeutic activities are provided to assist in developing relationships and preserving skills and social roles acquired over a lifetime. Care managers work with both residents and their families in order to promote the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual, well being of each individual.

Loretto Health Support Provides:
bathroom aids
diabetic supplies
hospital beds
mobility aids
oxygen systems
physical therapy supplies
personal care products
respiratory aidsSpecial order items are available. Loretto Health Support products can be ordered in person, by phone or by fax. Same day delivery and set-up is provided by a staff of trained professionals. The Loretto Health Support staff has been specially trained to provide guidance and assistance with medical supply purchases including: measurements, product information, and medical service information. Insurance Coverage
Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance will cover the cost of many RT/DME items with a doctor's prescription. Loretto Health Support will bill Medicaid, Medicare, HMO's, and private insurance directly for supplies. The customer will be billed for any balance after insurance payments. Private payment plans are also available.
