More about 2011 Loretto Legacy Award Honoree, Tully Junior High School:
Loretto is pleased to celebrate its longstanding partnership with the more than 100 Tully Junior High School 7th graders who visit the Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Center annually to bake apple pies with elder residents. Initiated more than 10 years ago by now retired school nurse and Tully resident, Laurie Spaulding, this friendship between young and older has been filled with energy, sharing and a presence that says “we remember you.” The spirit of the students, staff and parents is contagious and their Apple Pie Making is favored event that unofficially kicks off Loretto’s holiday season each fall.
Loretto is grateful for Tully Junior High School’s commitment, vision of service and desire to link the generations.
